Australian Vegetable Industry Awards
The good news this week happened over the weekend when Chris Millis won the Ausveg Landmark Young Grower of the Year Award. Chris has worked very hard over the last 10 years both for Flavorite and as a consequence, for the industry as well.
It is important to recognise that Flavorite's standing in the tomato industry is no small part a recognition of his hard work in the constant program to improve Flavorite.
While Chris would certainly agree that his success is equally attributable to his team members Horst Sjostedt and brother Will, and to the management group supporting them, Chris has shown leadership qualities from a young age and it is really pleasing to see this ability recognised by the wider horticultural community.
Congratulations Chris and many thanks to the guys (and dolls) who recommended Chris for this award, I only hope you continue to develop your relationships with Chris to your mutual benefit.
